Background: In recognition of the importance of education, the publication board initiated awarding prizes in 1993 to honor students who demonstrate academic excellence in their exams. Subsequently, in the year 2000, Education Wing under Central Youth Evangelical Front assumed
responsibility for the initiative and continued it until 2014. With the aim of further enhancing the educational mission, the Jerusalem Council established the Education Department in October 2014.
Composition of Education Department:
1. Research & Development Wing and Training & Development Wing act attached bodies of the department.
2. Subordinate body known as Education Wing in all Seven Divisions performed functions as per delegated by the department.
3. Education Cell in all Local Churches perform functions as per delegatedbythe department.
Functions and Objectives:
1. To inculcate the value of education among the youth/parents.
2. To analyze the problems identified in the field of education in order toformulate appropriate solutions and remedies.
3. To appreciate and recognize individuals/students who succeeded in lifebased on their achievements/results.
4. To provide opportunities and to develop skills, knowledge and abilities of Church members.
